Polish citizens are eligible to apply for an Azerbaijan e-Visa through ASAN. The usual permission is valid for 90 days, allows one entry and permits a stay of up to 30 days. Before applying, compare the information you enter with your current passport and check any detail you are unsure about.
Use your Polish passport, not an old booking, as the source
A reservation, customer profile or previous application can help organise a journey, but it may contain shortened names or an earlier passport number. Start the ASAN identity check with the booklet that will be used for Azerbaijan. Then compare any existing records against it rather than copying them as if they were authoritative.
If you have several given names or are unsure how the form handles a character, read the field guidance before entering the details. Ask for clarification where necessary so that the submitted name follows the application's instructions and corresponds to your passport.
If the current instructions leave a genuine question, have it resolved before the application proceeds. Keep a precise description of the uncertainty: which field is involved, what the passport shows and what the application is asking. A clear question supports useful advice without suggesting that every difference requires additional government paperwork.
Check Your Passport Number and Important Dates
After names, check the document number and dates independently. Familiarity can make a number look right because it resembles the one expected. Read it from the passport and compare it with the completed field, including any character that could be confused with another.
Check the date of birth separately from the passport's issue and expiry dates. Their positions on a page do not make them interchangeable. Follow the date format requested in each field instead of assuming that a copied sequence from a message will be interpreted correctly.
For ASAN, passport validity must continue for at least three months after the e-Visa's expiry date. This condition uses the visa expiry as its reference, not simply the last day of a planned holiday. Establish the proposed visa period before deciding whether the passport covers it.
Connect the entered details to a readable page
The attachment should show the identification page of that same Polish passport clearly. Inspect the file after saving or sharing it: glare, compression or an incomplete edge can obscure information even when the original photograph looked satisfactory. ASAN warns that an unreadable passport photo-page attachment results in rejection.
Typed information and an image have complementary roles. The image allows the document details to be read; the fields state the information submitted for the applicant. A clear attachment does not excuse a wrong number, and correctly typed fields do not make an illegible attachment sufficient.
Where another person prepares the request, ask to compare the completed information before submission. The applicant may recognise a discrepancy that an organiser cannot see from travel correspondence alone. Ask for any discrepancy to be resolved before the official application is submitted.
Confirm which nationality and document apply
Poland's inclusion on the ASAN list does not depend on where the enquiry is sent from. A Polish national living abroad should still identify the passport intended for the application. Equally, living in Poland does not turn another nationality's passport into a Polish one for eligibility purposes.
With dual nationality, choose the travel passport at the outset. ASAN requires the selected nationality to correspond to that document; identity details and the attachment should follow the same choice. Do not combine the number from one passport with the page from the other.
Raise emergency, temporary or non-national document categories during suitability review. A nationality entry is not blanket confirmation for every document type. The general application FAQ is useful context while the actual passport and form instructions remain the basis of preparation.
Match the finished record to the visit
Review travel dates as deliberately as identity details. The visa's 90-day validity period is distinct from its permitted stay of up to 30 days. The whole stay must fit within validity, so an arrival close to expiry does not automatically leave another 30 days available.
ASAN e-Visas are single-entry. A short first visit does not turn unused time into a second entry. If an itinerary involves leaving and returning, resolve the permission needed instead of assuming the same electronic document covers both arrivals.
Standard official processing is three working days; Urgent processing is three hours, including non-working days and holidays. ASAN advises applying at least the relevant period before arrival. Allow separate time for preparing the file, receiving the outcome and checking the issued details before printing the e-Visa with the application passport.
