Omani citizens travelling for tourism on ordinary passports may qualify for Azerbaijan's temporary visa exemption from 15 February 2026 to 15 February 2027. The published measure allows up to three visa-free entries within one year, with stays of up to 30 days each; a valid visa is required for the fourth entry. Check your passport, visit purpose and travel dates before considering a paid e-Visa application.
Check the Omani exemption dates against your travel plans
Read the proposed arrival and stay alongside the stated period. A dated exemption should not be treated as a permanent promise that every later journey follows the same rules. If arrival is close to the measure’s end or the planned stay extends beyond it, confirm the applicable conditions before relying on the exemption.
Consider each traveller's document and dates separately. One person may already have used relevant visits while another is travelling for the first time. A shared reservation does not establish that the whole party has the same position under the exemption.
The relevant migration notice describes ordinary Omani passports and tourism. Residence in Oman is not Omani nationality, and a different passport category should not be presumed to qualify merely because the document is associated with Oman. Identify the actual document before deciding what the visitor needs.
Keep visa-free travel advice distinct from ASAN conditions
The Omani Foreign Ministry's published advice for this arrangement calls for a passport valid for at least six months from entry. That advice concerns the described travel arrangement. It should be kept distinct from the ASAN application condition, which measures passport validity from the expiry of an e-Visa.
If an electronic application is genuinely needed, ASAN requires the passport to remain valid for at least three months after that visa expires. Neither statement should be casually substituted for the other or presented as proof that every possible document category has been assessed.
How Many Visa-Free Visits Can Omani Citizens Make?
Establish the relevant entry history from the traveller's actual records. The published measure concerns up to three visa-free entries and a stay of up to 30 days on each. A previous enquiry or an abandoned application is not itself a visit; another person's entry is not this traveller's entry.
The ASAN notice describes three entries within one year. If your previous visits make the applicable count unclear, provide their actual dates and seek confirmation from the competent authority before planning the next arrival. Check the published period rather than assuming a new allowance starts on 1 January.
A fourth entry requires a valid visa under the notice. Oman also appears on the ASAN nationality list, so an electronic application may be considered where a visa is needed and the document and visit are suitable. Eligibility to apply and a need to apply are separate decisions.
Describe the purpose before selecting a service
The migration service distinguishes tourism from other purposes and from a longer proposed stay. A short duration by itself does not make another activity covered by the tourism exemption. Explain what the traveller actually intends to do instead of choosing a convenient description because it avoids a visa question.
If your proposed visit falls outside the exemption, establish which route applies before ordering an e-Visa service. Assess that new visit on its own conditions; an electronic application is not an automatic extension of a visa-free stay.

Prepare an electronic file only where appropriate
For a suitable ASAN application, use the passport intended for Azerbaijan for identity information and the identification-page attachment. Inspect the saved image for legible names, number, dates and photograph. ASAN warns that an unreadable attached page leads to rejection, so check the version being submitted rather than an original stored elsewhere.
For multiple citizenship, ASAN requires nationality selection to correspond to the travel document. The e-Visa is invalid if the application document differs from the document used for travel. Resolve a planned passport replacement before final filing rather than assume an earlier permission transfers automatically.
The normal e-Visa is single entry, valid for 90 days and permits up to 30 days of stay within that period. These are electronic-visa limits. They should not be combined with the exemption to promise extra visits, a longer stay or an automatic extension beyond a printed visa expiry.

ASAN publishes Standard issue within three working days and Urgent within three hours, including holidays and non-working days for Urgent. Applications must be submitted at least the corresponding period before arrival. Those official periods do not include time spent first establishing exemption eligibility, clarifying the document or arranging private payment.
