Greek passport holders are listed as eligible for Azerbaijan’s ASAN e-Visa. For a suitable short visit, the normal permission is single entry, valid for 90 days and allows up to 30 days in Azerbaijan within those dates. If the itinerary includes leaving Azerbaijan and coming back, consider that extra entry before relying on one electronic visa for the whole journey.
Does your itinerary include a return to Azerbaijan?
A short first visit can leave unused stay days and unused validity. Those do not make the ordinary single-entry visa reusable. Departure followed by another arrival is a further entry question, even when both visits would fit inside a 90-day calendar window.
Check the actual itinerary rather than only its overall length. A traveller staying continuously in Azerbaijan and a traveller making two separate arrivals have different entry-count questions, even if their total holiday duration is identical. Establish the intended plan before making assumptions about the permission to request.
ASAN’s conditions say a new electronic application may be made only after leaving Azerbaijan. Another purchase while still inside should not be treated as an automatic arrangement for a return. Ask for the applicable instructions when preparing a multi-entry itinerary rather than waiting until the first visa has already been used.
Keep the validity and stay limits separate
The normal e-Visa has 90 days of validity and permits up to 30 days of stay within it. The longer period identifies the validity window; it is not permission to spend 90 days in Azerbaijan. The planned departure must fit both the maximum stay and the final printed expiry.
A later arrival does not extend that final date. If the journey changes, compare the revised arrival and departure with the permission actually issued. A new flight reservation or a change recorded by a private consultant cannot amend the visa itself.
Inspect the start date as well. ASAN’s conditions distinguish Standard validity, starting on a day at least three working days after submission, from Urgent validity starting on issue. The actual issued document provides the dates to use for the final check.
Choose the passport before preparing a return plan
Use the same travel passport for the application and Azerbaijan journey. Read nationality, names, number and dates from that document, following the live form’s instructions. A national identity-card number or saved booking profile should not replace the requested current passport details.
For multiple citizenship, select the country corresponding to the chosen passport. ASAN makes an e-Visa invalid where the application document differs from the travel document. Do not assume that carrying a second valid passport provides another entry under the first passport’s permission.
A person living in Greece may hold another nationality. Check the actual passport in the nationality and eligibility guidance. For temporary, emergency or non-national documents, establish the particular category’s suitability before buying an ordinary-passport electronic service.
Check passport validity across the visa period
ASAN requires the passport to remain valid for at least three months after the e-Visa expires. Work from the visa end date rather than the last day of a brief first visit. The reference does not become shorter simply because the traveller intends to leave early.
Resolve planned renewal before applying. An old identification-page image should not be uploaded with a replacement number, and permission linked to an earlier document should not be assumed to transfer automatically to a new passport.
If the passport changes after filing or issue, obtain instructions before travelling on the earlier permission. Correcting a customer account or updating an airline booking does not change the document to which the authority issued the e-Visa.
Prepare evidence that the system can read
Make a readable identification-page copy from the settled passport. Open the saved file and inspect the photograph, text, number and dates. Look for glare, blur and cropped page edges, especially if the image was shared after being taken.
ASAN states that an unreadable attached photo page leads to rejection. Accurate typing cannot replace readable evidence. If a name or field is unclear, seek instructions before official filing rather than inventing a detail to make the form proceed.
Prepare accurate intended arrival, accommodation and contact information as appropriate. Use a monitored email and check its spelling. Keep application and payment messages separate from the actual outcome; a receipt does not establish issue of the visa.
Processing and optional preparation support
ASAN publishes Standard issue within three working days and Urgent within three hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. Applications must be made at least the corresponding period before arrival. Leave time for preparing the file and examining the result, rather than calculating only the official assessment.
