Djiboutian citizens are included on Azerbaijan’s official ASAN e-Visa list. An eligible passport holder can prepare an electronic application for a suitable short visit. The usual permission is single entry, with up to 30 days of stay inside a 90-day validity window. Establish the passport, application details and payment route before choosing a processing option.
How our application review and payment work
Applying directly through ASAN and purchasing a private preparation service involve different service arrangements. ASAN is the official electronic system. A consultant’s customer total should not be described as the government’s direct tariff or presented as proof that approval is assured.
If applying directly, follow the payment instructions displayed on the official portal. Its information page lists Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay and JCB and says that the card does not have to be in the applicant’s name. Card acceptance depends on the payment provider, while the application must still identify the traveller accurately.
For our assistance, the request is reviewed before payment is requested. We clarify whether the actual document and visit are suitable and what the agreed service covers. Time spent resolving those questions is preparation time, rather than part of the official assessment period.
Build the file from the passport intended for travel
Use the current travel passport for nationality, number, names and dates. Read the form’s instructions carefully. An old customer profile, residence card or booking account should not supply a substitute passport detail merely because it is readily available.
If more than one nationality is held, choose the country corresponding to the document that will be used for Azerbaijan. ASAN makes an e-Visa invalid where the application document differs from the travel document. Keep the uploaded identification page and entered fields tied to that same passport.
Residence in Djibouti does not by itself establish Djiboutian citizenship. Assess a companion’s actual passport separately in the nationality and eligibility guidance. A listed country does not settle every emergency, temporary or non-national document category; clarify an unusual document before paying for an ordinary-passport application service.
Make the identification page readable
Prepare an image of the chosen passport’s identification page and open the final saved file. Read the number, names and dates and check that the photograph is visible. Inspect for glare across a field, cropped edges or loss of detail after the image has been shared.
ASAN states that an unreadable attached photo page leads to rejection. Clear typing cannot replace a page the issuing system cannot read. Replace a poor image before official submission instead of expecting a reviewer to reconstruct it from messages or another person’s notes.
If a name field is unclear for the passport you hold, obtain the relevant instructions before proceeding. Prepare the intended arrival, accommodation and contact information requested by the application, using the traveller's actual details.
Calculate the passport-validity requirement
The passport needs at least three months of validity after the e-Visa expires. Work from that visa end date, not simply the last day of a short holiday. A passport that lasts beyond the trip can still fall short when the electronic permission expires later.
Resolve a planned renewal before official filing. Do not enter a replacement number while uploading the old identification page. If the travel passport changes after an application exists, obtain instructions before relying on the earlier permission; automatic transfer to a new passport should not be assumed.
The normal electronic visa itself is valid for 90 days and permits up to 30 days in Azerbaijan within those dates. Both limits apply to departure. Entering close to expiry does not create another 30 days beyond the final printed date.
Decide whether the visit fits one entry
Leaving Azerbaijan and returning creates another entry question. The ordinary single-entry permission cannot be reused merely because the first visit was brief or unused validity remains. Review any proposed return before assuming the same e-Visa covers it.
ASAN allows a new electronic application only after leaving Azerbaijan. A second purchase while still inside should not be treated as an automatic return arrangement. Describe the actual activity during preparation too: the electronic visa does not authorise paid employment.
Standard and Urgent after preparation
ASAN publishes Standard issue within three working days and Urgent within three hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. Applications must be made at least the corresponding period before arrival. Leave time to prepare the file and inspect the actual outcome rather than relying on payment at the last possible moment.

Check the application email and monitor it for notifications. An acceptance message or receipt is not the issued visa. When permission is issued, compare it with the passport, inspect its dates, stay and entries, then print it and carry it with that document. Seek instructions about a discrepancy before travel.
