Cypriot passport holders are listed for Azerbaijan’s ASAN e-Visa. An eligible traveller can apply electronically for a suitable short visit, with the usual permission providing one entry and up to 30 days of stay within a 90-day validity window. When several people travel together, organise each person’s passport and outcome separately from the shared booking.
Check each Cypriot traveller’s eligibility
A group can share flights and accommodation while holding different nationalities or document categories. List the actual passport each person will use before preparing applications. The lead traveller’s Cypriot eligibility should not be assumed to answer another person’s case.
Check a different passport in the ASAN eligible-country directory. Residence in Cyprus is not the same as Cypriot citizenship. A residence card or shared address should not be used to select a nationality that does not correspond to the travel document.
For dual nationality, choose the country corresponding to the passport intended for Azerbaijan. ASAN requires the application document to match the one used for travel. Do not combine one document’s nationality with another document’s number or image just because both passports belong to the same person.
Give each file its own passport review
Work through one applicant at a time. Use that person’s identification page for names, number, nationality and dates, following the actual form’s instructions. Copying an organiser’s identity fields into the next file is different from reusing legitimate shared itinerary information.
If the document category is temporary, emergency or non-national, obtain confirmation of its suitability before selecting an ordinary-passport service. A country’s inclusion on the ASAN list does not establish that every document issued there is accepted through the same route.
Resolve planned renewals before preparing the final files. Different travellers may replace passports at different times, so a booking organiser’s note that the group is ready is not enough. Check the number and image for the document each traveller will actually carry.
Calculate passport validity individually
ASAN requires each passport to remain valid for at least three months after the e-Visa expires. Use the visa end date, not only the end of the holiday. A short visit does not shorten that reference to a different condition.
One family member’s long-valid passport does not establish the suitability of another’s. Check the intended visa period against every expiry. If replacement is necessary, settle it before submission rather than expecting the official permission to move automatically to a new number later.
Where a passport changes after an application has been made, obtain instructions for that affected traveller. Updating the organiser’s list or a consultancy’s customer account cannot amend an issued e-Visa. Keep unaffected travellers’ documents separate while resolving the changed file.
Inspect each passport image after saving
Prepare a readable identification-page copy for the correct person. Open the saved file and inspect the photograph, text, number and dates. Check for glare, cropping or reduced detail after sharing the image.
ASAN states that an unreadable attached photo page results in rejection. Correct typing does not replace readable evidence. If several files are being organised, make the final upload check against the applicant’s actual passport rather than relying on similar filenames or a row position in a list.
Prepare the intended Azerbaijan arrival, accommodation and contact information accurately. If a field is unclear for one applicant, seek instructions instead of borrowing another traveller’s answer merely to finish the form.
Check that every visit fits the permission
The normal e-Visa has 90 days of validity and permits up to 30 days of stay within it. Read both limits against each person’s arrival and departure. Travellers on the same booking can still have different return dates, and the longer validity window is not a 90-day stay allowance.
The permission is single entry. A traveller leaving Azerbaijan and returning needs separate consideration, even when other members remain in the country. Unused dates do not create another entry on that visa.
ASAN permits a new electronic application only after leaving Azerbaijan. A return plan must therefore allow for a separate application after departure. Also establish the real activity for each applicant; the electronic permission does not authorise paid employment.
Keep payments and decisions associated with the right person
ASAN publishes Standard issue within three working days and Urgent within three hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. Applications must be made at least the corresponding period before arrival. Allow time before official submission to resolve the files individually and afterwards to examine the outcomes.
