Before You Apply

  • Check the passport category you will use and match the application to that travel document.
  • Check passport validity: at least 3 months beyond the intended e-Visa expiry.
  • Check the identity details and readable identification-page copy before official submission.

Croatian citizens with eligible passports can apply through Azerbaijan’s ASAN e-Visa system for a suitable short visit. The usual electronic permission is single entry, valid for 90 days and allows up to 30 days of stay within that period. If renewal or replacement is likely before travel, settle the passport before preparing the official application.

Apply using the Croatian passport you will travel with

An application should describe one travel document from preparation through to the Azerbaijan journey. Put that passport beside the form and use its identity page for the name, nationality, number and dates. A previous application or saved airline profile may still describe an earlier booklet.

Renewal can matter even when the holder’s name stays the same. A different number or expiry can make a file inconsistent if an old scan is reused. Check that the uploaded identification page belongs to the document supplying the entered details.

ASAN makes an e-Visa invalid where the document used for the application differs from the document used for travel. An issued permission against an earlier passport should therefore not be assumed to transfer automatically to a replacement. Raise a document change before relying on the earlier file.

Calculate whether renewal is needed

The passport must remain valid for at least three months after the e-Visa expires. Work from that visa end date instead of adding three months only to the planned departure from the holiday. A short trip can end well before the visa’s validity ends.

Compare the intended visa period with the passport expiry before choosing an assessment package. If the passport falls short or the calculation is uncertain, resolve it before official filing and payment. An Urgent option cannot extend the passport’s validity.

For a temporary or emergency document, confirm the particular category’s ASAN suitability rather than treating a replacement issue as an ordinary renewal automatically. Croatia’s presence on the eligible-country list does not establish acceptance of every type of document issued there.

Keep nationality aligned with the chosen document

For multiple citizenship, choose the country corresponding to the passport intended for Azerbaijan. The nationality selection, passport number and image must form one consistent file. Holding another valid passport does not make its details interchangeable with the document linked to an electronic permission.

A person resident in Croatia may hold another national passport. Check that actual document in the ASAN eligible-country directory. Shared residence, accommodation or booking arrangements should not be used to assume that every traveller follows the Croatian applicant’s route.

For an unusual or non-national travel document, describe the category clearly in the initial request and obtain confirmation before paying for an ordinary-passport service. Selecting a different country in a form to bypass a document uncertainty is not a substitute for establishing suitability.

Check the new passport copy before uploading

Prepare a readable identification-page image from the settled document. Open the saved file and inspect the photograph, names, number and dates. Check for reflections over fields and cropped page edges, especially if the image was shared or reduced after being taken.

ASAN’s conditions state that an unreadable attached photo page leads to rejection. The entered information does not remove the need for readable evidence. Replace a poor copy before submission rather than expecting a reviewer to reconstruct it from typed answers.

Follow the application's instructions for identity fields and ask for clarification where needed. Prepare accurate arrival, accommodation and contact information, then compare the completed application with the passport before submission.

Plan a journey the permission can cover

The ordinary ASAN visa has a 90-day validity window and permits up to 30 days of stay inside it. Read the printed start and end dates alongside the stay limit. The longer window is not a three-month stay allowance, and a late arrival does not add extra days beyond expiry.

The permission is single entry. Leaving Azerbaijan and returning creates another entry question even when both visits would fall within 90 days. Unused time does not make the first visa reusable. ASAN allows a new electronic application only after leaving Azerbaijan, so establish a proposed return arrangement separately.

Describe the intended activity honestly during preparation. The electronic visa does not authorise paid employment. A short duration alone does not make every purpose suitable for an ordinary electronic application.

Choose processing after the passport is settled

ASAN publishes Standard issue within three working days and Urgent within three hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. Applications must be made at least the corresponding period before arrival. Include preparation and a final document check in the timetable rather than planning only for assessment.

AZERBAIJAN TRAVEL & VISA CONSULTANCY is operated by Nexus Solutions Global Ltd. We provide independent private assistance. Send a request first; our team reviews suitability, explains the service and clarifies payment. The agreed work begins after payment, followed by the appropriate official application and communication of the authority’s result.

Our applicable assisted-application totals are 50 USD for Standard and 100 USD for Urgent, including relevant government charges. These are private consultancy prices. Initial review and time before payment are separate from official assessment. Neither package guarantees approval.

Check the result against the passport you kept

Monitor the nominated email for official messages. An application acknowledgement or payment receipt is different from the issued e-Visa. Obtain the actual permission and compare it with the passport, then examine its dates, entry count and stay allowance.

Print the issued document and carry it with the matching passport. If an error or replacement affects the file, obtain instructions before travelling. An update to a private customer record or booking cannot amend the authority’s permission.

Ask Our Team

Settle the intended travel passport before applying. Do not assume an application or issued e-Visa can simply be transferred to another number after a replacement arrives.

Check the number and dates as well as the name. The uploaded page must describe the same passport that supplies the application details and will be used for the journey.

No. The passport condition still applies: at least three months of validity after the e-Visa expires. Resolve renewal before selecting either official timetable.
