Colombian passport holders appear on Azerbaijan’s ASAN e-Visa eligibility list. A suitable electronic application can provide one entry and up to 30 days in Azerbaijan within 90 days of validity. Before submission, compare the information entered with the passport you will use, then check the intended visit against the electronic permission’s separate limits.
Check your identity details before finalising travel dates
An application needs both accurate identity information and a suitable itinerary. Check them separately so that a correct arrival date does not distract from an old passport number, or a good scan does not conceal a departure beyond the visa’s limits.
For the identity review, use the current passport. Read the name, nationality, number and dates from the identification page, following the instructions on the actual form. A shortened name in a customer account or an earlier travel application should not override the document being used now.
If the instructions leave uncertainty about entering your passport name, obtain clarification before filing. A consultant can help identify the field and the information needed to resolve it, while keeping the entry consistent with the travel document.
Make the passport choice consistent
For dual nationality, choose the nationality corresponding to the travel document intended for Azerbaijan. Use that passport’s number, dates and identification-page image throughout. ASAN’s conditions state that the e-Visa is invalid if the document used for the application differs from the document used for travel.
Residence and nationality should also be kept separate. A Colombian passport holder living elsewhere should not select the residence country as citizenship for convenience. A different passport held by a travelling companion needs its own eligibility check in the ASAN eligible-country directory.
The country listing does not establish acceptance of every temporary, emergency or non-national document issued in Colombia. Identify an unusual category expressly before paying for an ordinary-passport package. Resolve a planned renewal first as well, so that an old scan is not paired with a replacement number.
Check the evidence after saving it
Prepare a readable copy of the chosen passport’s identification page. Open the saved image and check the photograph, text, number and dates. A reflection or cropped edge can affect the information even when most of the page looks clear.
ASAN states that an unreadable passport photo-page attachment leads to rejection. Open the version you will submit and check whether its identity details remain legible after sharing or resizing. Compare the typed fields with that checked image as a separate accuracy step.
Keep each passport image associated with the correct applicant. Where someone organises several files, use a practical naming system and make one final comparison before submission. Shared bookings do not make identity details or uploaded pages interchangeable.
Measure passport expiry against the e-Visa
The passport must remain valid for at least three months after the e-Visa expires. The end of the electronic permission is the reference, not simply the last day of a short holiday. Check the intended visa period and passport expiry together before deciding whether renewal is needed.
A replacement passport should not be assumed to inherit an issued e-Visa. If the document changes after filing, obtain instructions before relying on the earlier permission. Updating a travel booking or private customer account does not change the passport details on the authority’s document.
The usual e-Visa has a 90-day validity window and permits up to 30 days of stay within it. Both limits constrain the visit. The longer window does not authorise 90 days in Azerbaijan, and arrival near expiry does not add another month beyond the final printed date.
Check connections and plans to return
Check the intended Azerbaijan arrival and departure across all bookings. Overnight connections can place arrival on a different date from the start of the journey. If a flight moves, compare the revised plan with the permission actually issued rather than assuming the visa follows the booking.
The ordinary electronic visa is single entry. A departure followed by a return is another entry question even when the overall trip fits within 90 days. Unused dates do not make the first visa reusable. ASAN permits a new electronic application only after leaving Azerbaijan, so resolve a proposed return before relying on another purchase while still inside.
Describe the intended activity accurately during preparation. An e-Visa does not authorise paid employment. Raise an uncertain activity before selecting a service, rather than using a short-visit description merely because it is convenient.
Choose timing and assistance after the checks
ASAN publishes Standard issue within three working days and Urgent within three hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. Its conditions require applications at least those periods before arrival. Allow time for preparation before official submission and for reading the outcome afterwards.
AZERBAIJAN TRAVEL & VISA CONSULTANCY is an independent private service operated by Nexus Solutions Global Ltd. You send a request first; we review eligibility, explain the assistance and confirm payment. The agreed service starts after payment, followed by the appropriate official application and communication of the authority’s result.
The applicable assisted-application total is 50 USD for Standard or 100 USD for Urgent, including relevant government charges. These are private consultancy prices. Our preliminary review and the time before payment are separate from official assessment. Neither package guarantees approval.
Use an email address you can monitor and check its spelling before filing. Application and payment messages are different from the actual issued visa. On issue, compare the passport details, read the dates and entry allowance, then print the e-Visa and carry it with the matching passport.
