Chilean citizens are listed as eligible for Azerbaijan’s ASAN e-Visa. With a suitable passport and visit, the normal electronic permission provides single entry and up to 30 days of stay within a 90-day validity window. A useful first step is to inspect the passport image and identity information before the application reaches official assessment.
Make sure your uploaded passport image is readable
Prepare a copy of the passport identification page that will actually be used for the Azerbaijan journey. Open the saved file at a readable size and inspect the photograph, names, number and dates. A small preview may conceal glare or text that has become blurred after sharing the image.
Check all the relevant edges of the page. A clear photograph in the centre does not establish that the identity fields at the edge are complete. If a reflection crosses a number or expiry date, replace the copy before submission rather than expecting the reviewer to infer what it says.
ASAN states that an unreadable attached photo page leads to rejection. File preparation is therefore part of getting the application right, rather than cosmetic presentation. Correct information typed into the form does not compensate for evidence the issuing system cannot read.
Compare the upload with the form
Use one current passport for the entered details and uploaded page. Read the requested information from the document and follow the form’s actual instructions. Do not allow an old airline profile or previous application to supply a passport number that changed at renewal.
Compare the name as well as the passport number with the completed form. Clarify any uncertain field before submission, using the application's instructions and the actual travel document.
If someone prepares several applications, inspect the link between each traveller and that person’s passport image. Similar file names or shared travel dates can make an upload error easy to overlook. A joint itinerary does not make identity evidence interchangeable.
Check nationality and renewal before paying
Chile’s appearance on the ASAN list establishes nationality eligibility for an appropriate electronic application. It does not mean every document issued in Chile has been accepted for the ordinary route. Identify any emergency, temporary or non-national document and obtain confirmation of the actual category’s suitability before purchasing a service.
For multiple citizenship, select the nationality corresponding to the passport intended for Azerbaijan. ASAN’s conditions make the permission invalid if the document used for the application differs from the one used for travel. Residence in Chile is not a substitute for the actual passport nationality.
The passport must remain valid for at least three months after the e-Visa expires. Calculate from that end date rather than only the departure at the end of the holiday. If replacement is planned, settle the intended passport first. Do not assume an approval against an older document transfers automatically to a new number.
Give the itinerary an accurate arrival date
Prepare the intended arrival in Azerbaijan together with the accommodation and contact information needed for the application. A long journey and overnight connections can place arrival on a different day from departure from Chile. Read the complete itinerary before entering the date.
The issued e-Visa will have its own validity dates. For Standard, the start is determined for a day at least three working days after submission; for Urgent, validity begins on the day of issue under ASAN’s conditions. Inspect the actual result rather than treating a general statement about issue or arrival as the final date calculation.
The ordinary permission allows up to 30 days within its 90-day validity. It is not a 90-day stay. Check departure against both the permitted stay and the printed expiry, particularly if a flight moves after the application has been prepared.
Decide whether single entry suits the plan
A short first visit does not leave a reusable entry on the same visa. If the journey includes leaving Azerbaijan and coming back, address the further entry separately. Unused validity does not make a single-entry permission multiple entry.
ASAN allows a new electronic application only after departure from Azerbaijan. Do not assume another payment while still inside produces an automatic return arrangement. Describe the planned activity honestly as well: the electronic visa does not authorise paid employment.
Allow for preparation before official processing
ASAN publishes Standard issue within three working days and Urgent within three hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. Applications are required at least the corresponding periods before arrival. Leave time to fix an unreadable copy and to inspect the actual outcome rather than relying on the last possible submission moment.

Retain and print the actual e-Visa
Check the nominated email address and monitor official notifications. An acknowledgement or receipt records a stage of the process, not necessarily issue of the permission. If someone helps, agree how the actual outcome will be delivered to the traveller.
When issued, compare the e-Visa with the passport and examine dates, permitted stay and entry count. Print it and carry it with the matching document. Seek instructions before travel if the passport changes or a discrepancy appears; a private customer-record update does not amend an official visa.
