Before You Apply

  • Check the passport category you will use and match the application to that travel document.
  • Check passport validity: at least 3 months beyond the intended e-Visa expiry.
  • Check the identity details and readable identification-page copy before official submission.

Brunei Darussalam appears on Azerbaijan’s official ASAN e-Visa list. Eligible Bruneian passport holders can prepare a suitable short-visit application electronically. The usual visa permits one entry and up to 30 days of stay within a 90-day validity period. Read those limits together with the passport expiry before paying for an application service.

Check your travel dates and passport expiry

Keep the intended Azerbaijan arrival, intended departure and passport expiry in view during preparation. The visa will also have its own first and last validity dates. These are related checks, rather than a single general statement that the document has plenty of time left.

ASAN requires the passport to remain valid for at least three months after the e-Visa expires. The end of the visa’s validity is the reference, even when the planned visit finishes earlier. A calculation made only from the last hotel night can therefore give an insufficient result.

If a passport is close to that condition, settle renewal before building the final application. Use the passport intended for travel for the number, dates and identification-page copy. A replacement booklet should not be assumed to inherit an e-Visa issued against an earlier document.

Separate validity from the permitted stay

The normal electronic permission has 90 days of validity but allows up to 30 days in Azerbaijan within it. It is not permission to remain for the whole validity window. Departure must fit both the stay allowance and the final printed validity date.

For example, a traveller who moves an arrival later should also check the departure. A shorter gap between arrival and the visa’s expiry can matter even when the proposed trip would otherwise be under 30 days. The point is to compare the revised itinerary with the actual document, rather than to assume every late arrival receives a fresh month.

The visa is single entry. If the trip includes leaving Azerbaijan and returning, the second arrival needs separate consideration. Unused days do not restore an entry. ASAN’s conditions allow a new electronic application only after leaving Azerbaijan, so another payment while still inside should not be treated as an automatic solution.

Identify the travel document accurately

Use the nationality corresponding to the passport that will be carried for Azerbaijan. Where two passports are held, keep the selected country, entered identity information and uploaded page tied to one document. ASAN makes the visa invalid when the application document differs from the travel document.

A person resident in Brunei Darussalam may have another nationality. Residence should not be entered as citizenship simply because the application is being prepared there. A companion’s own passport can be checked in the ASAN eligible-country directory rather than assumed to follow the lead traveller’s result.

The country entry also does not confirm every emergency, temporary or non-national document category. Identify an unusual document expressly in the initial enquiry and obtain confirmation that the specific category suits ASAN before choosing an ordinary-passport service.

Make the passport evidence easy to read

Prepare the identification-page image from the settled travel passport. Open the saved file and inspect the photograph, identity fields, number and dates. Check that reflections, blur or cropped edges have not obscured information. Review the version that will actually be uploaded, especially if the image has been shared or resized.

ASAN states that an unreadable attached photo page results in rejection. Typed details cannot repair unreadable evidence. Replace the copy before official submission rather than expecting a reviewer to reconstruct missing information from another record.

Use the current form's instructions to enter the passport details and the requested arrival, accommodation and contact information. Clarify any uncertain field before submission so that the completed application is accurate.

Plan the assessment around a complete file

ASAN’s published Standard period is three working days. Urgent issue is within three hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. Applications must be made at least those corresponding periods before arrival. Leave time to prepare the file before submission and to read the actual outcome afterwards.

AZERBAIJAN TRAVEL & VISA CONSULTANCY is an independent private service operated by Nexus Solutions Global Ltd. Our sequence starts with your request and a suitability review. We explain the agreed assistance and payment, begin work after payment, make the appropriate official application and communicate the authority’s result.

The total for an applicable assisted application is 50 USD for Standard or 100 USD for Urgent, including relevant government charges. These are private service prices, rather than the direct official tariff. The preliminary review and period before payment are separate from official assessment. Neither package guarantees approval.

Review the outcome before closing the file

Use a monitored email address and check its spelling. ASAN sends application, payment and decision notifications to that address. If another person helps, establish how the issued document itself will reach the traveller. A confirmation that payment was made is not evidence that the visa was issued.

Compare the actual e-Visa with the passport and inspect its dates, stay and entry count. Print it and carry it with the same passport. If a discrepancy appears, seek instructions before relying on the document; changing a booking or private record cannot amend it.

Questions about a Bruneian application

Country-specific answers for your Azerbaijan journey.

Ask Our Team

No. The normal permission allows up to 30 days of stay within a 90-day validity window. Both the stay limit and the printed expiry must accommodate the visit.

Check against the visa expiry, not just departure from the holiday. ASAN requires at least three months of passport validity after that visa end date.

The document used for the application must match the one used for Azerbaijan. A second valid passport is not an automatic substitute for the passport linked to the permission.
