Bahraini citizens travelling for tourism on ordinary passports may qualify for Azerbaijan’s temporary visa exemption. Bahrain also remains on the ASAN e-Visa list for suitable visits that require a visa. The published measure runs from 15 February 2026 to 15 February 2027. It allows three visa-free entries in one year, each for up to 30 days; a fourth entry requires a valid visa. Check the exemption before paying for an application.
Check whether Bahrain’s temporary visa exemption covers your visit
The first decision is whether your actual passport and intended visit fit the published temporary measure. Being listed for ASAN means the nationality can use the electronic application system when appropriate. It does not mean every listed traveller should buy an e-Visa even when an exemption covers the entry.
Write down the intended arrival and the dates of previous Azerbaijan entries relevant to the scheme. Check the published start and end dates. Do not treat the measure as permanent, or assume it has been renewed because a travel page still offers paid applications after its stated end.
The ASAN note allows three entries within one year. If your previous visits leave the applicable count unclear, provide the actual dates and obtain confirmation from the competent Azerbaijani authority before arranging an application. Check the published period rather than assuming that the allowance restarts on 1 January.
Keep the 30-day allowance attached to each qualifying entry
The temporary note permits up to 30 days for each qualifying entry. Three entries do not form a single unrestricted 90-day stay. Check the intended duration of the actual visit rather than adding the separate allowances together.
If the trip is the fourth entry within the relevant one-year period, the published measure requires a valid visa. Establish the correct application before relying on another visa-free entry. Keep the distinction between the entry count and the number of applications: a receipt for an application is not a visa.
For travel outside the published exemption period, confirm the rules that apply to your intended dates. The current measure ends on 15 February 2027; check whether a new arrangement has been announced before deciding whether you need an e-Visa.
What if an ASAN application is appropriate?
For an eligible Bahraini passport and suitable visit requiring the electronic route, the usual ASAN e-Visa is single entry, valid for 90 days and permits up to 30 days of stay within that validity. This is a different permission from the temporary three-entry exemption. An issued single-entry e-Visa should not be treated as three entries because the nationality also appears in the temporary measure.
The passport must remain valid for at least three months after the e-Visa expires. That is the electronic application’s validity reference. Check the intended visa end date, not merely the end of a short holiday. For a visa-free visit, confirm the passport conditions applicable to that arrangement separately.
Use the passport intended for Azerbaijan for the nationality selection, identity information and readable identification-page upload. For multiple citizenship, keep the chosen nationality aligned with that document. Residence in Bahrain does not establish Bahraini citizenship for another traveller’s passport. Check each companion separately in the eligible-country directory.
Prepare the application before choosing urgency
Where an e-Visa is needed, inspect the passport image for readable names, number, dates and photograph. Replace a blurred, reflective or cropped copy before submission. ASAN states that an unreadable photo page leads to rejection. Follow the actual form’s instructions rather than inventing an identity detail to move past an unclear field.
Give accurate arrival, accommodation and contact information as required by the application, and check the email address carefully. Official application, payment and decision messages go to that address. If another person helps, agree how you will receive the issued permission itself.
ASAN’s Standard issue period is three working days. Urgent is within three hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. Applications are required at least those corresponding periods before arrival. Those official times do not include a private company’s initial review or the period before its customer pays.
Assistance should follow the need for a visa
AZERBAIJAN TRAVEL & VISA CONSULTANCY is an independent private service operated by Nexus Solutions Global Ltd. You may send the passport category, planned arrival and relevant entry history for an initial assessment. Our team reviews whether a paid e-Visa service is applicable before confirming payment.
If the visit is covered by the exemption, you should not be directed to buy an unnecessary electronic application. If assistance with a suitable ASAN application is agreed, the service starts after payment and we communicate the authority’s outcome. Any price is confirmed for the service actually applicable to that case.
The consultancy cannot extend the temporary exemption, reset an entry count or guarantee a visa decision. Paying for urgency changes neither the exemption’s terms nor the suitability of a travel document.
Check the actual outcome of a paid application
For an issued e-Visa, compare the document with the passport and examine its dates, stay and entry count. Print it and carry it with the matching passport. A payment confirmation is a record of payment, not proof that the authority issued permission.
If the passport changes or an error appears, obtain instructions before travelling on the permission. Keep a visa question separate from a booking change: amending a hotel reservation or a private customer profile cannot amend the official document.
